What is the Lake Madison Development Association (LMDA)?
The LMAD is a non-profit association of property owners working together to promote water safety; to protect the water quality, natural resources, and ecosystems of Lake Madison; support research and education; and to preserve the lake area for the enjoyment of people today and for generations to come.
When was the LMDA started?
The Association was started at Wood’s Resort, now Hillside Resort, in August of 1958.
Why was the LMDA started?
The Association was started to pursue clean water, better fishing, good ponds, and other needed projects.
What lakes are included in the Association?
The Association includes Lake Madison, Round Lake and Long Lake.
Who are the members of the LMDA?
You! Every property owner and their families are the members of the LMDA.
How much is my membership?
Membership is $50 per year. Payment for your membership is voluntary.
When is my membership fee due?
Dues should be paid by February 14th (Valentine’s Day). If you’ve not yet paid, please pay your dues today! This will ensure accurate information is included in the annual LMDA Membership Directory.
What happens if I choose not to pay the $50 membership dues?
Your donation helps LMDA pursue our current and future projects. Members of LMDA are listed in red in the directory --- Thank you!
